The Bible is our guide and standard in faith and practice. Therefore our methods of worship are patterned on scripture. Below are some questions that have been asked about our worship services, and answers to them. For further questions please e-mail us.

Why do we have this type of worship?
"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth." John 4:23,24, NIV.

.

Why do we clap our hands?
"Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy." Psalms 47:1, NIV.

"Then some Levites from the Kohathites and Korahites stood up and praised the LORD, the God of Israel, with a very loud voice." 2 Chronicles 20:19, NIV.

"After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no-one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: 'Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.' " Revelation 7:9,10, NIV.

"After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting: 'Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,...' Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: 'Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns.' " Revelation 19:1,6, NIV.

.

Why do we sing in tongues and in English?
"For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind." 1 Corinthians 14:14,15, NIV.

.

Why does the whole church pray at once for specific needs?
"When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “you made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them." Acts 4:24, NIV.

.

"I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified." 1 Corinthians 14:5, NIV.

"If anyone speaks in a tongue, two--or at the most three--should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. 1 Corinthians 14:27, NIV.
